Below are three photographs of as yet unknown priests
but, because of the source, we think it's most likely they all
had connections with St Andrew's church.
In each case the pictures are, in fact, postcards and the one on the
left was produced by Harry Melling of 135a Church Street, Preston.
There is no publisher's name on the other two.
What we do know is that the earliest the pictures must have been
taken was 1902 because there is a space for correspondence on the
reverse side of the postcards and before that time nothing but an
address was allowed to be written on the back.
Another clue is that the priest in the centre was probably a Jesuit
because his cassock appears to have "wings" attached.
Do you know who these priests are? If so, then please let us know. |
