St Mary and St Andrew's School - Station Lane, Barton, Preston, PR3 5DY

Introduction from the school's website

Welcome to our school, St Mary and St Andrew’s, which is a Voluntary Aided Catholic Primary School serving the parishes of St Mary’s, Barton and St Andrew’s, Cottam. In addition, we admit children from the surrounding districts when places are available.

Our school is a Christ-centred community in which each individual, with his/her unique talents and personality, is valued. We provide a happy, secure and stimulating environment where we aim to inspire, challenge and support our pupils to achieve their full potential and to grow into independent and responsible young people.

We firmly believe that we can only achieve the best for your child by a close co-operation between home and school. There will be many opportunities for you to share in your child’s education and we do hope that you will work with us to make this a happy and successful period in your child’s life.

Should you have any further questions you wish to ask or should you wish to visit the school with a view to seeking a place for your child, please telephone 01772 862335 for an appointment.

St Mary's School - Darkinson Lane, Lea Town, Preston, PR4 0RJ

Introduction from the school's website

Welcome to St. Mary's Catholic Primary School

Mrs. A. Brogden

On behalf of all the staff and children, I would like to extend a warm welcome to both new and existing families.  It is a privilege to be the Head Teacher at such a special school.

St Mary's Catholic Primary is a stimulating, supportive and friendly school located in Lea town.  As a Catholic school, Christ is at the centre of all we do.  We are a small school which creates our distinctive family atmosphere.  Every child is part of our family and highly valued as a unique individual.

  • We are driven by our Mission Statement

  • Live our lives as Jesus taught us

  • Work hard together to achieve our best

  • Respect each other and the world around us

  • Have fun and enjoy learning!

We aim to provide an environment where children, staff, families and Governors work closely together.  We work hard to ensure our school is a safe, secure and exciting place to learn and grow, where everyone is supported and encouraged to excel and be the very best they can be.  We are mindful that once our children leave this school they will help to shape the future and so they will need to be resilient, imaginative, considerate and confident.  We look forward to making your child's time here at St. Mary's a truly happy and memorable experience.

If you would like more information please feel free to call or come and visit our school.
